Booking Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: April 15, 2025

Welcome to TeleVet.care. By scheduling a TeleHealth consultation or using our platform in any capacity, you agree to be bound by the terms outlined below. These terms are intended to protect both you (the pet owner), our veterinary professionals, and the clinic as a whole. Please read them carefully.

These Booking Terms (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of TeleVet.care (“TeleVet”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), a veterinary telehealth service. By booking an appointment through our platform, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms, along with our Privacy Policy and any additional notices or policies provided to you.

TeleVet is a Colorado-based clinic, fully licensed and authorized to provide veterinary telehealth services in California and Florida only. Services are not available outside of these jurisdictions.

TeleVet offers virtual veterinary consultations for non-emergency, non-life-threatening pet health concerns. These services include, but are not limited to:

  • General wellness consultations
  • Behavioral advice
  • Follow-up care and monitoring
  • Prescription renewals where legally permissible

Note: TeleVet does not offer emergency services. If your pet is experiencing a medical emergency, please seek immediate in-person care from a local emergency veterinary clinic.

To book an appointment with TeleVet, you must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Reside in and be physically located in California or Florida at the time of the consultation
  • Provide truthful and accurate information during booking

By booking, you affirm that you and your pet are currently within one of the covered states. Consultations cannot legally proceed if you are located outside of those regions, even temporarily.

TeleVet is a licensed veterinary practice operating in compliance with the California Veterinary Medical Board and the Florida Board of Veterinary Medicine. All veterinarians on the TeleVet platform are licensed in at least one of the states where services are offered and are authorized to provide virtual consultations under applicable state laws and telemedicine guidelines.

A valid Veterinarian-Client-Patient Relationship (VCPR) may be established through telemedicine in accordance with California and Florida regulations.

However, the VCPR may be limited in scope based on your location and the nature of your pet’s condition. If your pet’s condition requires a physical exam or in-person diagnostics, the veterinarian may advise that you seek in-person veterinary care instead.

Appointments must be booked through the official website at www.TeleVet.care. By booking, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and current information about your pet
  • Pay any applicable fees at the time of booking
  • Join the virtual consultation at the scheduled time

Cancellation Policy: Appointments may be canceled or rescheduled up to 24 hours in advance. Missed appointments or cancellations within 24 hours may be non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

All consultation fees are clearly stated during the booking process and must be paid in full to confirm your appointment. Prices may vary based on the type and length of the consultation.

TeleVet does not bill insurance providers. Any reimbursement through pet insurance is solely the responsibility of the pet owner.

TeleVet maintains records in compliance with federal and state privacy laws, including the applicable veterinary client-patient confidentiality standards. We use secure systems to store and manage your pet’s health data.

You have the right to request copies of your pet’s medical records. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more information on data use and protection.

TeleVet may issue prescriptions or renewals if a valid VCPR exists and state law allows. Prescriptions are sent electronically to you, a preferred pharmacy or may be fulfilled through a licensed telepharmacy partner.

We reserve the right to deny any medication request based on clinical judgment or state limitations.

Our veterinarians are limited in what they can diagnose or treat through a virtual medium. TeleVet does not provide:

  • Surgical consultations
  • In-person examinations or diagnostics
  • Emergency care

By using our service, you understand and agree that:

  • TeleVet is not liable for outcomes resulting from misinformation, technical disruptions, or failure to follow veterinary advice
  • Services are provided “as is” without warranties, express or implied
  • Any recommendations given are based solely on the information you provide and may be limited due to the nature of virtual care

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any legal disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Colorado, unless otherwise required by law in California or Florida.
